Giardia is the pits. My family knows that firsthand after an unfortunate year of trying to get rid of the parasite that we contracted drinking unclean water while camping. After that horrible experience, we decided to be smarter with what we take into our bodies while we enjoy our favorite family pastime. After researching some cheap camping water purification systems, we realized that there is no reason to ever drink unclean water. There are many effective, cheap camping water purification systems that do the job. Most of them are easy to transport and don't take up a lot of precious room. Some can purify as we drink the water while others are capable of purifying and then storing the water. Some systems are the size of a water bottle while others are bigger and more complicated. Regardless of the size, each one is effective in keeping water clean. Believe me, giardia and other parasites that exist in water are bad news. They require multiple rounds of destructive anti-parasitic medications that are hard on your stomach and intestines. Because of our horrible experience, we will always be diligent in keeping our water clean when we go camping. Good water filtration systems are part of our camping gear. Share
