I just returned home from a trip to the Southern part of Thailand, famous for its beaches and site seeing opportunities. The one regret that I have was that I was not certified to scuba dive, which kept me from going on a few activities. I am hoping to make my next exotic endeavor Grand Cayman and this time I fully intend to scuba dive. I learned that there are Grand Cayman Open Water Referral courses available to travelers. This means that I can divide my certification into separate segments. I can pass off my initial requirements in the area where I live. I will receive a verification certificate there that I can then take with me to the Grand Cayman Open Water Referral. I will be able to become fully certified to scuba dive while I am on the Cayman Islands! It will be a great experience and make for a great story as well. I will not have to worry about passing a test or studying while I am vacationing. I have also heard that this system of dual certification saves a lot of time because when you get to the islands, you are able to get right into the water.
