We always approach the end of a sport's season with mixed emotions. It's sad to say good bye to kids who won't be returning, and it's sad to say good bye to the fun we've had. However, it's nice to know that my husband won't have to go to practices three times a week, and it's especially nice knowing that we can spend Saturday mornings somewhere besides the YMCA! My husband is he soccer coach, and he's the one in charge of ordering trophies from Gary IN. The thing my husband likes the most is watching his players develop skills at the same time that they're learning strategies and maneuvers. This year he had a boy on the team who had been in an accident three years ago. He had to learn how to walk all over again, and this was the first season he had returned to sports. It was painful and thrilling at the same time as we watched him grow stronger and more self confident as the season progressed. When it was time for our end of the year party, my husband had ordered trophies from Gary IN for each of the boys. The boys love getting their trophies! This year our little returning player got a special trophy. It said, "Most Improved Player." We didn't win many games this season, but the way the boys supported their friend and each other made them the best kind of winners! Share
