If you have ever been salt water fishing then you know how important good salt water reels are. Catching salt water fish is nothing close to the same as catching little two pound trout out of a stream. In salt water you are catching fifty pound yellow tail that put up a darn good fight. I have literally seen grown men have to take a break or pass the rod and reel to a buddy for help because the fish is fighting that much. If you don't have good salt water reels you will never get that fish out of the water. Now, there are different reals for different types of salt water fishing. Whether you are just catching bait, trolling, or dropping your line you will want different reals. This might seem like a pain, but really reels are fairly easy to switch out. Ideally you would want different rods too but, in my opinion, the reels are more important. With the right equipment salt water fishing is a lot of fun. In fact, it is my favorite kind of fishing. I grew up by the ocean so my dad would take us quite often. Get a good reel and get out there. Share
